Richard initially said Belgium is the same size as Tasmania. Further research has been done and this is incorrect.  Tasmania is actually three times bigger than Belgium.   The official languages are Dutch, German and French.  But they speak English more than anything.

The architecture is stunning, some of the best we have seen.  I’d compare it to Bath in that you can amble around looking at beautiful streets and shops and sights easily. It’s not too expensive and the people are lovely.  Especially the nice chaps we met at the Beer Festival who insisted it was a tradition to kiss ladies three times each.

Oh yes, we were lucky, there was a Belgian Beer Festival on while we were here.  I can confirm Belgian Beer is strong and it tastes like peach, or raspberry, or cough mixture.
